Mission Statement
The Heme Foundation was created in loving memory of Terrell, affectionately known by family and friends as “Heme”, who courageously fought cancer and passed away at the precious age of six. Heme was deeply loved and brought joy, light, and smiles to everyone he encountered. Even during his own difficult journey, he had a special way of bringing happiness to others.
Inspired by Heme’s beautiful spirit and legacy, our mission is to bring hope, support, and opportunities to children, families, and seniors in our community.
We believe every person deserves the opportunity to dream, grow, and live a meaningful life filled with hope and possibility.
Keeping Heme’s Legacy Alive Through Love, Hope, and Service
ONE CHILD
The Heme Foundation is committed to serving low-income families through our annual Christmas toy drive, and Christmas dinner. Creating joyful memories for children during the holiday season. We also support our community through weekly food drives to help fight hunger and ensure families have access to nutritious meals.
ONE FAMILY
We are dedicated to supporting senior citizens by assisting them with grocery shopping, promoting healthy eating habits, and helping meet everyday needs that allow them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
ONE SMILE
Through creative programs, educational opportunities, mentorship, and community outreach, we strive to empower children to recognize their gifts and talents, overcome life’s obstacles, make positive choices, and develop the skills needed to become productive members of society. We encourage individuals to find strength in difficult situations, embrace hope, and pay kindness forward to others.
